Devouring your Audience
This class is for the dancer that really wants to capture their audience!! Learn how to work your crowd. We will cover proper use of your performance space, eye contact and audience interaction. If you have trouble hitting this stage or not sure what to do when you get there, this class is for you!
Pops & Locks
In this workshop we will review the basic isolation exercises that create every move of the dance. Through proper technique and drills you will learn to use these movements to create the dramatic effects of a great pop & lock performance. This class will also focus on the importance of using pauses and stage presence and is designed for all skill levels.
Tribal Combos
Learn signature combinations that can be done in any style of dance. These combinations have been performed by Marjhani and her tribal group Oojahm who performed at the Original Renaissance Faire in Southern California from 2005-2008. These combinations will be taught using a hand cueing system and utilizing various formations. This class is for dancers with some knowledge of Improvisational Dance.
Gothic Combos
This class is for those that love to have a dramatic effect in their dance. Learn various combos utilizing Marjhani’s unique pop and lock effects. This class will cover various forms of the Industrial (or Rivethead) side of Gothic Fusion where students will explore various level change techniques and learn a short choreography. This class is for students of all levels.
Drills to Kill
Drills to kill is designed to help dancers reach those 3,000 reps to create muscle memory. This class is for all levels and focuses on building stamina, strength and control! Not for the weak at heart .You will sweat!!! This class includes abs, buns and thigh builders so bring your yoga mats!
Smoke & Mirrors
Understand the art of illusion thru dance!! Most of what we do looks long and lovely. Learn to utilize the use of posture and technique to further define the lines and angles of the dance. This will not only help with great photos but also with connecting to your audience!
** NOTE: Any of these workshops can be geared toward Intermediate and Advanced classes as well. You just specify!
